    Does anyone know what type of battery is needed to run the light meter in a fuji single 8 P-1 camera? It is not the same battery as the main power (four AA's)

    If that's the camera I'm thinking of, it used a mercury battery (too toxic; now illegal as far as I know).

    Try Batteries for photographers.

    Hope you have the old one, or the manual. By the way, the voltage is sometimes a little different on replacements, which makes light readings inaccurate.
